Black Champagne

Reggae Entertainer Black Champagne, born in St. Catherine, Spanish Town Jamaica. Recording artist, writer and producer Leon Campbell, aka Black Champagne, started performing, recording and producing reggae music in 1998. Inspired by water, mountains, artists and beats, specializing in original lyrics and live music. Toured many countries, performing at various stage shows in Jamaica and Japan, including Sting, Countryside Club, six years at Bourbon Beach, Negril with Indica Band and Hurricane, and five years touring Japan.


In 2000, Black Champagne started Independent Record Label, Black Life Label/Jamaica Black Life Productions, recording various reggae artists such as, Sizzla, Buju Banton, Luciano, Anthony B, Lutan Fyah, Doniki, Captain Barkey, Ninja Man, Gyptian, Lukie D, Wickerman, Lexus, General B, Boom Dynamite, Mikey General, Rockland, Zamunda, Jason Sweetness, Chezidek, New Kidz, Sista-K, Jah Melik, Dionvox, Egg Nog, Grizzly Cat, Well Focuzed, Gold Voice, Avalanche, Hosny Bronx, Powerman and many more. In 2013, Black Champagne released two original albums, Blue Skies and Oceans Apart, recorded at Anchor Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, with live band musicians Sly & Robbie, Computer Paul, Bongo Herman and harmonizers Pam Hall, Dasia and more.
